QPA Scotland/SEPA Seminar - Recycling Asphalt Road Planings Guidance

On 17 June 2008 QPA Scotland and The Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) held a seminar to launch the new document they have jointly produced called, 'Guidance on the production of fully recovered asphalt road planings'. The Guidance presents a clear methodology for the sustainable recovery and reuse of asphalt road planings in Scotland and clarifies waste legislation.

LJMU 2009 Annual International Conference on Sustainable Aggregates, Pavement Engineering & Asphalt

The School of the Built Environment at Liverpool John Moores University in association with Tarmac Ltd is hosting the 8th Annual International Conference addressing research and practical applications using sustainable construction materials and technology in pavement engineering.

QPA Scotland Health, Safety and Environment Conference

QPA Scotland will hold its biennial conference on 20 November with a focus on emerging developments in the coming years. Under the title "New Opportunities", operators from across Scotland will come together to find out the latest developments across the key issues of health and safety, the environment and mineral planning. With QPA Scotland welcoming the positive climate which is continuing to develop between the industry and its regulators, the sector is looking forward with confidence.

Ecobuild 2009

The BLA will be hosting a stand at next years premier event dedicated to sustainable design construction and the built environment - Ecobuild 2009.

Now in its fifth year, Ecobuild 2009 will attract in excess of 800 exhibitors and 30,000 visitors, and host more than 100 seminar and conference sessions along with dozens of topical and inspiring visitor attractions.

Key messages the BLA aim to promote, include:
1. Carbon Sequestration
2. Durability
3. Recycling

Seminars will also be performed by professionals in industry looking to promote the enhanced physical properties and overall sustainable nature of lime.
