Few industries interact with society
at so many levels as quarrying.
Its products are as essential in keeping the nation’s infrastructure
going as they are to satisfying the needs of a typical family
for a new home.
Civilisation as we know it would quite literally grind to a halt
without the materials with which to maintain what we already have.
Further progress - whether a modern hospital, new school or improved
transport links - would be impossible.
